I guess it seems strange to review an automotive repair shop, but last I checked most people drive so that means you have to find a place that will work on your car. There is nothing more frustrating than to have your car break down. Now it means you have to figure out someone that is reliable; not only that but someone that will actually know how to work on your car. Jim stated that when he first started, back in 2009, he would work on anything that had wheels and a motor; but not all cars are created equal. So he decided he was going to pick a brand and stick to it because in the long run he would be able to have a better knowledge base and work on them more efficiently. Jim made the statement that all cars have quirks and problems and when you stay with one brand you learn what those are and it becomes much easier to not only figure out what is wrong but what is the best way to go about breaking it down, making the repair and putting it back together in a timely manner. Jim has elected to work primarily on Subaru but it is followed by Toyota in a very tight second. While I was there talking with Jim he was in the process of rebuilding a motor and was being very methodical about it and yet talking at the same time. Now that is knowing what you are doing. Jim’s shop is not fancy and does not have a waiting room. But what it does have are two mechanics that know what they are doing and strive hard to provide not only the best repair possible but a service that is second to none. So If you have a Subaru and if you are wondering where you can go to get it fixed, give Jim a call. If the Subaru club members use him, he must be doing something right.
